Today we had the pleasure to sit in on a wonderful presentation by Jim Arnosky. Jim lives here in South Reygate, Vermont, who has written and illustrated many children’s books, such as: Wild Tracks, Otter’s Under Water, Racoon on His Own, and so much more! The kid’s enjoyed him, as did the adults! The Ensoburgh Public Library collaborated with the Enosburg Elementary school to host this event. Every child was given 2 books to bring home!
Thank you to Children’s Literacy Foundation who granted us this opportunity.
“Our grant enables rural public libraries to create excitement around reading, increase circulation, and strengthen relationships with the communities they serve.”-CLiF
We had so much fun making our Catapult’s and then competing to see who could shoot the furthest!
Hello! Our Gardens for Learning Program is coming up fast! Even though Spring is taking her sweet time, we would love to get ready. We want to reach out to the community to see if anyone has anything laying around that they would like to donate.
For the garden program we are currently looking for:
- wood (for a raised bed)
- some plants
- medium plastic bins
- flower plants
- kitchen tools
- grass seeds, etc.
We’re also seeing if anyone is willing to donate, or let us borrow a Canopy during our program.
Help Spread the Word by sharing! Thank you all so much.
If you’re interested in having your child join the Gardens for Learning Program here at the library make sure you keep your eyes out for our planting party we will be having!
