Oh my did we all have a great time! The first day we had a special Guest with us, Mr. K. Him and his companion taught the children All about seeds! Everything from seed travel, different types of seeds, and even dissecting a seed to learn about the different layers. We even went on a seed hunt to see all the different ones we could find, just around the library! After he said his goodbye’s, we all gathered around to decorate our Garden observation Journals. After, the kids help put together an imaginative play garden, as we layered it with rocks, dirt and grass seed, we discussed what we need to make a garden. Then they all gathered and harvested salad greens for their snack. As we closed down day one all the children sat quietly around the garden observing and jotting things down in their journals.

Summer Reading today at the library was “Rocking with Salt”!!  Take a look at the great fun the kids had making Ice Cream at the library!!  Libraries Rock!!!!

Just an amazing turn out here at the EPL! Thank you so so much David Rosane and the Zookeepers for coming to our quaint little library here in Enosburg. Thank you for preforming! Because of everyone getting together to enjoy the wonderful music and everyone’s generosity, we were able to raise 321.50 dollars towards our library programs! We cannot express enough on how grateful we are!

We would love to give a big thanks to everyone and your wonderful support to this library. Some time last year we had many submissions for our Logo contest. They were all very wonderful! After we sat down and went through the entries we all decided. Let’s give a big shout out to Apple Maddox for submitting her wonderful doodle! Also, thank you to Alex Ellsworth (from Cold hollow Career Center) for being able to digitize the picture! We have such a great community here at the Enosburgh Public Library! Again thank you all so much.

Join us Thursday evening July 5th @ 7 p.m. for David Rosane and the Zookeepers as they entertain us with some great music!!  This is a Library Benefit Tour and all donations raised at the door will stay at the Enosburgh Public Library!!!  This event is for the entire family–come enjoy some great music, snacks and time with your friends and neighbors!!

Join us, July 2nd at 6pm, as we read together the fiery July 5, 1852 speech in which the great abolitionist orator Frederick Douglass took exception to being asked to commemorate the signing of the Declaration of Independence. This is a participatory event. Community members are invited to witness and/or join in the reading. Copies of the speech will be provided.

Everyone come on down July 5th @7pm ! We are so happy to announce the David Rosane and the Zookeepers will be playing for us at our Library to raise funds for the programs we provide here. The Zookeepers are ready to raise funds and advocate for literacy, community and freedom of speech with the accompanying release of their new album “Book of ZOO”
