Story Walks!!

Story Walks in the park-we will be doing 2 story walks.  Wednesday, July 6th at 10 a.m. and Thursday, July 7th at 3:30 p.m.  A bag lunch will be provided on Wednesday and a bag dinner will be provided on Thursday!!!

Story Time in Lincoln Park!!

Saturday, July 2 we will hold our story time in Lincoln Park at 10 a.m.  We will be reading two great books: Looking for Uncle Louie on the Fourth of July by Kathy Whitehead and A Pig Parade Is a Terrible Idea by Michael Ian Black.  We will then do FIREWORK PAINTING!!!  We will also play some games, have bubbles and have FUN!!  This event is WIC approved.

Night Of Freedom In The Park!

“The Meaning of the Fourth of July for the Negro”  Join us as we read the fiery July 5, 1852 speech in which the great abolitionist orator Frederick Douglass took exception to being asked to commemorate the signing of the Declaration of Independence.  This is a participatory event.  Community members are invited to witness and/or join in the reading.  Copies of the speech will be provided.  A discussion will follow with refreshments.  Please bring a chair.

Archeological Dig @ the Library!!

rocksCome join us on Wednesday, June 29th @ 10 a.m.!!  We will listen to Judy read a great story about digging!  We then  will go outside and learn how to do our archeological dig!!!  We will also check out our Library Garden, and have a wonderful bag lunch for the kids provided by Enosburg School! 

Butterfly Program with Jerry Schneider

We will see a wonderful slide show that takes a look at interesting  features about butterflies (did you know that they taste with their feet?) We will learn about  the amazing Monarch migration to Mexico, with incredible photos of Monarch butterflies clustering by the thousands in Oyamel fir trees in the high mountains of Michocan.  The program concludes with a wonderful butterfly tee shirt craft!  If you have a white t-shirt please bring it, or you can purchase one for $4!!

We will be having story time in the park with The Enosbugh Farmer’s Market, on Saturday, June 25th from 10 a.m. – 11 a.m.!!  Come enjoy the stories: My Snake Blake by Randy Siegel and Dragons Love Tacos by Adam Rubin!!  After the stories we will be Salt Painting, playing games and we will of course have bubbles!!  Come join the fun with Judy!!!  This is a WIC approved event!
